Soldier injured in gunfight in Kupwara woods

Srinagar: A soldier was injured in a gunfight in forests in north Kashmir’s Kupwara, official said on Thursday.
They said that army’s 47 RR had laid an ambush at Babar Nad forests of Wagbhal late night.
The army established a contact with the militants, leading to a brief encounter, they said. A soldier Gursay Singh suffered bullet injuries and was rushed to military hospital Drugmulla. According to army, the condition of the injured soldier was stable.
