Sexagenarian woman suffers pellet injuries in eye in Pulwama village

Pulwama : A sexagenarian woman suffered injuries in her eye due to pellets fired by government forces during clashes in Sirnoo village of Pulwama district in south Kashmir on Sunday.

Reports reaching INS said that government forces allegedly fired pellets at Saja (65) wife of Mohammad Assan Kar at Sirnoo Pulwama. The woman was shifted to District hospital Pulwama where from was referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.

The forces have laid siege in the village and youth took to streets and pelted stones at them. The forces resorted to aerial firing and pellets to disperse them. When this report was filed, clashes were going on in the area.
