Rafiabad resident protest, demand appointment of Tehsildar, Executive Magistrate

Srinagar: Baramullah-Handwara road was blocked on Saturday by protesters demanding appointment of tehsildar for their area, sources said.

“We have been suffering for long in absence of Executive magistrate here.  For a simple application we have to travel from far off places to tehsil office every day. But then there is no tehsildar as well,” protesters.

Mohmad Amin, a local, said that the concerned Tehsildar was transferred four months back and since then they are facing immense problem.
