Mentally challenged person injured 4 after attacking them with knife

A mentally challenged person atacked and injured four persons of a family in north Kashmir’s Pattan area Baramulla district.

Reports identified the attacker Abdul Majeed Dar, a mentally challenged man attacked a group of people with a sharp knife in Chek Jameel Meer village of Pattan on Sunday evening.

The injured were identified as Ali Mohammad Dar, Nazir Ahmad Dar, Abdul Khaliq Dar and Farooq Ahmad.  Farooq and Khaliq were seriously injured in the attack and were shifted to Srinagar hospital for specialised treatment.

Meanwhile, Police has registered a case and launched an investigation, said an official.
