Death toll in Siar Baba incident reachs eight, one more succumbs

Jammu: One more injured in Siar Baba waterfall incident has succumbed to injuries taking death toll to 8, reports said.

The  Government has  already sanctioned Rs 4 Lakh ex-gratia to the next of the kin of those who died due to sudden landslide at Siar Baba Water Fall in Reasi.

An immediate relief of Rs 30000 was also provided to the persons injured in the tragic incident.

As per the district administration Reasi, 7 persons died and 32 others were injured in the incident which took place late this afternoon. Soon after receiving the information, Deputy Commissioner Reasi and officers of District administration rushed to the spot to oversee the rescue operation.  The injured have been shifted to Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital kakrayal where a team of expert doctors is attending them.
