Tral:  The first phase of Tral-Waged road, one of the important surface links which affects almost 60 percent of the local population, is still incomplete despite construction started one year back by the R&B.

The locals have expressed resentment against authorities who even failed to complete the first phase of the construction.

A group of aggrieved locals from different areas said that the road connecting Tral with Waged and other areas like Lurow, Lurgam, Hundoora, and Kuchmulla is dilapidated and dotted with potholes.

The locals of Nowdal and adjoining areas also demanded immediate repairing of Tral Nowdal road as it connects Tral with other parts of Kashmir.

When contacted concerned Engineer, Fayaz Ahmad, told INS that the reason behind the slow pace work on road was non-repairing of PHE’s water supply line which is parallel to the road.

“If PHE authorities would join hands with us, the work could be completed in just 15 days,” Fayaz said.
