2 killed, 5 injured in separate accidents

Srinagar: Two persons were killed and four others were injured in two separate road mishaps in Poonch and Uhampur districts of Jammu region on Monday.

Reports said two persons were killed and another was injured after a Tata sumo (jk11-3933) returning from marriage function skidded of the road and rolled down into 300-ft gorge near Dana village of Mandi in the Poonch district.

In the mishap, two persons died on the spot while as another suffered injuries and he was removed to a nearby hospital where from he was referred to district hospital Poonch for specialized treatment.

The deceased were identified as  Mukhtar Ahmad (23) son of Mohd Ayoub of Seri Khawaja and Mohd Reyaz, 24, son of Ghulam Mohd of Dana Loran. The injured was identified as Nazakat Hussain son of Mohd Hussain of Loran.

Meanwhile a swift vehicle (JK14E-1390) fell into a deep gorge at Deol Morh  Sudhmahadev in Udhampur, resulting in  injuries to four persons . The injured Imran Bhatt of Rathian udhmpur

Bhanu Partap Singh  of Jakhani Udhampur, Rahul Singh of Railway station Udhampur and Avtar Singh s/o Rasal Singh of Sugral Ramnagar, were shifted to hospital.
