Boat capsizes in Nigeen two dead

The bodies of two persons have been recovered after a boat capsized here in Nigeen lake amid windstorm on Tuesday.

Police said a boat carrying five persons including boatman capsized after it was caught in a windstorm in the lake.

Three of them were successful to save themselves while two persons were missing and later their bodies were recovered on Wednesday morning.

The deceased persons have been identified as Sajad Ahmad of Hafiz bagh and Umar lalpuri of EllahiBagh area of Srinagar.

“They had gone to attend a marriage function in a small boat. However, their boat capsized.”
