Budgam: Unidentified persons on Tuesday attacked a CRPF trooper by throwing chilli powder at him and tried to snatch his weapon. Even though officials are not confirming that it was a weapon snatching bid but they confirm that the trooper was attacked at Humhama chowk on Tuesday.

A constable of B/35Bn Central Reserve Police force (CRPF) at Humhama chowk of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district was attacked by three un identified persons who after failing to snatch his service rifle fled from the scene. 

Police officer said that it is not established yet that the attack was a weapon snatching bid, but SSP Budgam Tijinder singh confirming the attack said that the persons threw mirchi powder at the CRPF personnel and manhunt has been launched to nab the persons.
