Dir Info for ‘utmost transparency’, fairness in distribution of ads in newspapers

Srinagar: Director Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Tariq Ahmad Zargar on Monday took stock of the functioning of the office of Joint Director Information Kashmir.
The Director Information visited the office of JDI Kashmir at Government Press Complex here this afternoon and took stock of the functioning of various sections including News Room, PR section, Accounts Section, Photo Section, Field Publicity Section, Advertisement section and other wings. He interacted with the staff and sought their feedback on the functioning of the concerned wings.
He was accompanied by Joint Director (Headquarters), Sajid Yehaya Naqash and Joint Director Information Kashmir, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak.
Joint Director Information Kashmir briefed the Director Information in detail about the functioning of various wings of the office of JDI.
While enquiring about the distribution of advertisements to the newspapers, the Director Information called for maintaining transparency and fairness in the process. He further asked the JDI Kashmir to stick to the timeline with regards to the disbursement of payments to the newspapers on account of advertisement bills.The categorization of newspapers also came up in the discussion.
Zargar also held threadbare discussions with the JDI officials on how to further improve and streamline the functioning.
