Injured Anantnag youth succumbs to injuries

Srinagar: Two days after sustaining critically injuries in firing by government forces on protesters at Srigufara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, a youth succumbed to wounds at SKIMS here on Sunday.

The youth Shahid Nazir Hajam of Sirhama village had suffered critical bullet injuries in head on Friday.

Hajam succumbed to injuries on Sunday afternoon at SKIMS Soura. Hajam along with several other persons were injured after government forces opened fire and resorted to pellet firing during clashes following encounter in the area.

Four militants, a civilian and a SPO with SOG of police were killed in the encounter.
