Jumat-ul-Vida observed across Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: Jumat-ul-Vida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramazan, was observed across Jammu and Kashmir with reverence and religious fervor.
The largest congregation gathering was witnessed at historic Jamia Masjid followed by Dargah Hazratbal here where thousands of people, including men, women and children joined the congregational Friday prayers.
Congregational prayers were also held in all masjids and shrines across Srinagar including Masjid Jamiat-e-Ahlehadith, Gawkadal; Asar-e-Sharif Janab Sahib Soura; Asar-e-Sharif Shehri Kalashpora; Ziarat-e-Makhdoom Sahib, Khanqah-e-Mualla, and different Imam-Baras.
In South Kashmir, people in large numbers offered Jumat-ul-Vida congregational prayers at Jamia Masjids and local masjids.
Jumat-ul-Vida is being observed as Youm-e-Quds and Yoom-e-Kashmir in the state. Special prayers were offered for freedom of Kashmir and Palestine.
Reports from Chinab Valley said people gathered in large numbers despite sweltering heat to offer prayers in different Jamia Masjids of towns and peripheral areas. Large congregations were seen in Markazi Jamia Masjid Bhadarwah, Jamia Maajid Gatha, Jamia Masjid Doda, Masjid Noor Doda, Jamia Masjid Thathri, Jamia Masjid Gandoh, Jamia Masjid Kilhothran and Jamia Masjid Kahara.
Reports of large Friday prayers congregations also were received from Banihal, Kishtwar, Ramban, Gool, Batote, Bhadarwah Jammu and Leh.
