Srinagar: One among the two soldiers, injured in an encounter near Line of Control (LoC) at Keran sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, official sources said.
The two soldiers were injured in a gunfight with militants, believed to be infiltrators, at Keran sector along the Line of Control.
Both the injured were evacuated to military hospital Drugmulla from where they were airlifted to 92- base hospital Badamibagh here.
Among the injured, Sepoy Sukhvinder Singh of succumbed to injuries this afternoon, they added. Meanwhile, the search operations in the sector was ongoing when this report was filed.
