Bandipora: An awareness program about Food safety in schools and colleges was organized by Drugs and Food Control Organisation Kashmir in collaboration with Government degree college Bandipora, on Tuesday.

“The awareness was imparted by Designated officer Food safety Yameen ul Nabi to the students regarding food safety issues,” organisers said.

According to organising partners students were enthusiastic to understand and actively engaged themselves in the program.

The main focus of the awareness program was to make  students aware about how to implement food safety at homes and what role they can play as a consumers with regard to food safety.

“It was decided with the Principal Degree college Sumbal, that twice a week a tip for the day will be made available on the notice board for students of the college regards DO’s and Dont about food safety,” they said.

The awareness program in schools and colleges is part of the campaign by the department in district Bandipora.
