Handwara: Police on Saturday arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
“During naka checking two suspected persons of Audoora Mawer were intercepted for checking. On their personal search , 140 grams of charas was recovered from their possession,” police spokesman said.

A case FIR number 39/2018 under section 8/15 20,29 NDPS was registered and investigation was taken up.

The police spokesman quoted SSP Handwara Gh Jeelani Wani appealing the prominent citizens of sub district Handwara to keep close civil on drug peddlers and inform police if they notice any movement of drug peddlers in Area.
