Unexploded shell recovered in kupwara village

Kupwara:  Government forces on Wednesday recovered an explosive shell in Aram mohallah Lolab of district Kupwara. It was later disposed off by bomb disposal squad.

Police officials told  INS that on Wednesday morning locals informed them about a rocket like bomb lying near the area along nallah in aram mohallah lolab.

“Following the inputs regarding presence of explosive device,  Bomb disposal squad was informed and sent to check,” police official said.

After retrieving the shell or explosive from the spot it was disposed off by the bomb disposal squad without causing damage to life or property.

Police however did not describe as to how the explosive reached the spot and who does it belong to.
