Anantnag:L ess money and least support is not hampering work of these young boys to innovate be in love with technology. Naik Qayoom of Kreeri Dooru and his team do not let any hurdle stop there desire to innovate.
“My five member team wants to invent something unique,” Qayoom told INS.
According to him the money that goes into experimenting and developing a ‘new thing’ all comes from there pockets.
Qayoom is also a software developer and a teacher and is not shy to learn a new lesson any new day.
He was 12 when he created ‘Fieldhelper’, a kind of a wooden box, which can be used for thinning of paddy saplings in waterlogged farms. He is 23 now.
“When I was in class 6 I did my first innovation ‘Fieldhelper’ It is a kind of a wooden box, which can be used for thinning of paddy saplings in waterlogged farms,” he confided.
The techies set up a ‘Shining Star Innovation Club’, a place where he not only does his own experiments for innovations but a platform for aspiring innovators, who does not have space and equipment.
Qayoom and the club boys do want a government support so that they can develop a lab to experiment.
“I established my own science club, gathered students from high schools and higher secondary schools, with the passage of time many students joined his club. My club recently got registered with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, which is meant for fostering science clubs throughout India,” he said.

Qayoom believes that he has two prominent innovations Envocleaner and Biwinnower plus Electric Generator. “Envocleaner is an air purifier that cleans industrial gases, like methane, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide by absorbing them. Bicycle Biwinnower Plus Electric Generator can be used for winnowing husk from grains by pedalling cycle continuously which in turn generates electricity as well,” said Qayoom.
Qayoom’s big day was when he received an awards at IIT Delhi.
Recently Qayoom developed a Robot, all controlled by his voice.
Regardless of these innovations, Qayoom is currently working on Sowing Machine, rice separation machine, fertilizer spreading machine, bag security, apple taking machine.
“The idea is to help farmers and common workers by innovations,” he said.
Qayoom and his five member are team working hard at his ‘home lab’, but urge government to step in to support them to develop a better work station to express, and experiment what they want.
“Even to fail you need a lab, so we would like Govt to support us,” he said.
