Srinagar, May 14: Police Monday claimed to have recovered the kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused in crime.

the police spokesman said that on 10th of May 2018, one person (name withheld) in Bandipora lodged a written complaint in Police Station Bandipora that on 9th of May 2018 his sister (name withheld), about 15 years of age, went from her home for some personal work and did not return back.

“The complaint further reads that they searched for her on their own and got to know that  she was kidnapped by one person (name withheld by org) ..resident of Dangerpora Sopore,” spokesman said.

“On receipt of this complaint, a case FIR number 65/2018 under section 363 RPC was registered in Police Station Bandipora. After hectic efforts by Police, the girl was traced from Handwara and the accused involved was arrested. After completion of legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her family,” he said.
