Shopian shuts for second consecutive day to mourn civilian killing

Shopian opened up Saturday after remaining shut for sixteen days against the killing of militants and civilians in the area.

All the shops and other business establishments opened today while as public transport is plying normally on all the roads.

Children went to schools and colleges as all the educational institutions also reopened in the district.

Huge rush is being seen in the markets of Shopian with shoopkeepers cleaning their shops and people buying essential items from early in the morning today.

Meanwhile, Mobile internet services continued to remain blocked in the area except broadband, which has been restored.
