Former Maharashtra ATS chief Himanshu Roy who handled 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case allegedly killed himself in South Mumbai on Friday, Indian Express reported.

According IE report Roy allegedly shot himself with his service revolver, at his residence.

“Doctors at a Mumbai hospital declared him brought dead,” Indian Express report said.

Roy handled several high-profile cases including the IPL betting scandal and 26/11 Mumbai terror attack and has served as Maharashtra ATS chief.

“He was serving as additional director general of police at the time of his death,” report said.
