Handwara: Two teachers involved in ‘immoral activities’ suspended, enquiry launched

Kupwara: Two teachers of Govt Boys High School Hangha Mawar of Handwara in North Kashmirs Kupwara district were suspended from services after allegations of them involved in immoral activities was ‘perceived’ to be true in nature. According to sources the duo have allegations of ‘molestation’.

According to the order issued by the Office of the deputy CEO Kupwara public revenue village hangha had informed the education department that a group of teachers ‘are involved in immoral activities in Govt boys high school Hangha Mawar.’

CEO Kupwara along with Principal HSS Qalamabad / ZEO Mawer in presence of Sarpanch and other representatives of the village made a surprise visit to the school.

“It is perceived by support of material that the complaint is genuine and initially,” the order reads .

Both the teachers (name withheld) have been suspended by the education department.

“The thread bear enquiry is initiated with immediate effect and committee is constituted,” the order says, “The committee will enquire and put forth report and recommendations within seven days for necessary action.”

Police sources told INS that the case has been registered in this regard as well.
