ANANTNAG: Intense clashes erupted between government forces and protesters in  main town area of south Kashmirs Anantnag distirict on Monday, after two militants and a civilian were killed in Pulwama.

Eyewitnesses said that intense clashes between youth and government forces started at Lal chowk, Ganjiwara, new market and Achhabal adda in Anantnag town.

Two militants Sameer Ahmad Bhat alias Sameer Tiger, Aqib Mushtaq were killed in an encounter, while a civilian succumbed to injuries he sustained, reportedly, during clashes in the area.
