Reports said that Army’s 13RR Unit, Police and CRPF launched the CASO in Bone Mohallah and Banger Mohallah of Hajin Town following a specific tip-off about the presence of militants.

Sources said that forces carried out the door to door searches. However, no one was arrested.

During the CASO, youth took to streets and started pelting stones on forces.  The forces retaliated by bursting teargas shells to disperse the demonstrators. However there was no report about injury to anyone in the incident.

The government forces have been of late facing tough time while carrying out anti-militancy operations particularly in Hajin town. (file picture used for illustration purposes)
