2 Kashmiri students arrested: Delhi Police Cyber Cell

Srinagar: Delhi police’s cyber cell, on Friday claimed that it has arrested two Kashmiri students “who were part of “anti-national hacking group” and educating to “bypass state-imposed-social-ban by use of VPN during Apr-May last year.
In a statement, Delhi police’s cyber cell said that based on specific input two “Pro-Pak Kashmiri Hackers were arrested in the night of 26/27 Apr 18 by Cyber Cell, Spl Cell, Delhi Police by raiding two locations in Punjab vide FIR No-47 Dt 27 Apr 18.”
It identified them Shahid Malla (DoB : 02 Jan 90) s/o Ghulam Ahmad Malla, a B Tech (IInd Yr), CSE student at Aryan Group of College in Rajpora. “He is permanent r/o Watergam, Rafiabad, Dist- Baramulla, J&K and was staying in a rented accommodation in Sheetal Colony, Rajpura, Panjab.”
“Adil Hussain Teli (DoB: 04 Apr 97) S/o Mohd Yusuf Teli, a BCA (Final Year) at St Soldiers Mgt & Tech Instt in Jalandhar. He is permanent r/o Noonmai, Yaripora, Dist- Anantnag, J&K and was staying in rented accommodation at House No- 35 A, Bawa Khel Mithu Basti, Jalandhar.”
It said that as per their online activities and initial findings, the two were part of anti-national hacking group called Team Hackers Third Eye and claimed to have hacked more than 500 Indian websites.
“They were also involved in educating Kashmiri youth to bypass state-imposed-social-ban by use of VPN during Apr-May 2017.”
Apart from that, it said, two were found in touch with “several Pak based anti-Indian hackers. Some of them are believed to be backed by Pak Int agencies.”
“Further they were found to be pro-Kashmiri terrorism and pro-Pakistan through there anti-India and seditious post.”
It said laptops, mobile phones, SIM Cards, internet dongles and memory devices recovered from them will be examined by Delhi Police in detail to ascertain in anti-state activities.
“The two are likely to be produce before court by this evening (27 Apr 18) and taken on police remand for further questioning,” it added.
