4 years on, bridge in Saimoh Tral awaits completion

Tral : Four years on bridge connecting Saimoh village of Tral with other parts of sub division, is yet to be completed and a makeshift bridge is being used by people.

“From last one year work is halted on the bridge,” locals said.

They said that old bridge is about to collapse and can’t withstand load of vehicles on it.

“Saimoh area is being cut off continuously due to suspension of work on bridge across the stream,” locals rued.

The wooden bridge on the stream poses threat ‘as it may collapse anytime when it rains’.

“We are facing immense hardships due to the delay in construction of work on Saimoh water stream,” Fazlul Haq, a local resident said.

The residents talking to INS requested higher authorities to look into the matter and resume work on the bridge.

Meanwhile, Exn R&B Pulwama and JE R&B Tral said: “Work on bridge will be resumed soon to mitigate the problems faced by the people.”
