Jammu: Minor raped in 2017,accused roaming free: Father demands justice

Jammu: While the state is battling over the Kathua rape and murder of an 8 year old minor, Father of another minor girl came forward to media demanding justice for his girl who allegedly was raped and consequently gave birth to a boy. The accused according to the victims father ‘roams free’.

Father of the the victim, now 13 (name withheld), had filed the FIR in April last year against the accused named Bindu 27, of village Kashir Banjal, Kathua has forcibly raped his daughter and threatened to kill her if she discloses the matter.

The father, Bali Ram, according to FIR came to know only about the incident with her daughter when she had fell ill and doctors had declared her pregnant.

The father told media that after her daughter gave birth to baby son. “She was raped when she was 12,” Bali Ram said.

According to Ram the accused and the Station House officer of the concerned police station are in connivance as they both belong to ‘Rajput’ caste.

“DNA test of the baby and Bindu was conducted but the SHO who is also a Rajput changed the samples. And we were later told that the results are negative,” Bali Ram accused.

According to aggrieved father the state government should provide justice is his case as well.

“I demand justice,” said Bali Ram.
