Jammu: JKUPM demands ‘trial on fast track basis’ for Kathua rape and murder case

Jammu: Demanding trial on fast track basis, The Jammu Kashmir United Peace movement has called Kathua rape and murder case as ‘rarest and heinous’.

Members of the JKUPM were speaking to media in a presser here.

“We demand fast track trial of this case of rarest and heinous crime committed against innocent female child for speedy justice to victim,” said Himmat Singh of JKUPM.

The organization appealed to the people of all walks of life to unitedly campaign for justice of minor raped and murdered in Kathua, all other rape and murder victims and uniteldly work for a peace, harmony, human solidarity and to create public opinion for the building of solid system as a deterrent and an effective solution to such heinous crimes.

“The state is a very sensitive, poitically disturbed and by nature multi ethnic pluralistic state which is confronting with civil warlike situation internally and externally indo pak military confrontation at LOC, Border due to trilateral historical political dispute since 1947. But the communal forces with their ill designs, negative communal political intention and narrow cum parochial political motives are trying to polarize and communalize the social atmosphere arisen out a tragic incidence of rasaana rape and murder of eight year girl,” they said.

The presser was jointly addressed by Himmat Singh, Babu Singh, MR qureshi, M Sharif Sartat and JS Mangal.

They also said that the people trying to polarize and communalise the kathua case are ‘shamefully communalizing , politicalizing and making the kathua case a communal political tool, which is highly condemnable.

“This is very dangerous and harmgul trend for Jammu Kashmir disputed state in particular and the whole human society in general. It should be stopped,” they said.
