SRINAGAR,:The Director School Education Kashmir, Dr G N Itoo had a detailed tour of Bandipora to personally take stock of the educational scenario in the district.

Assuring best possible infrastructure for the educational institutions of the district, Dr Itoo impressed upon the Heads of the Institutions to ensurecent percent attendance of the students, timely completion of syllabus, regular checking of notebooks, conduct of practical tests and arranging extra classes.

The Director Education visited Higher Secondary School Mujgund, High School Shadipora, HSS Safapora, HSS Bandipora and many other schools of the district.

While interacting with the students, Dr Itoo told them that the Department is arranging additional classes for them to ensure that they get the maximum benefit. He listened to the problems faced by students in these schools and issued on spot directions to resolve the same. The students expressed happiness over these immediate directions.

Later, DSEK along with District Development Commissioner Bandipora Khurshid Ahmad Sanai called a meeting of all the Head of the Institutions and Zonal Education Officers of the District to take a review of the Education scenario and other allied matters. District Development Commissioner brought many matters related to Education into the notice of DSEK and requested for their redressal. He said in the start of the session there was some problem in the district due to rationalization of staff but the situation is quiet better now. He said there will be a keen interest of District Administration towards Education sector in the District and we will be always be in the forefront to provide required help. In the meeting the chosen representatives from Principals, Zonal Education Officers and Headmasters put forward the academic scenario and some matters in the schools, in reply to which DSEK directed Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Munshi Muhammad Javaid and other concerned to address the grievances and also directed them to register their grievances in writing to higher offices.

During the meeting the Chief Education Officer, Bandipora Munshi Muhammad Javaid presented a report on the Education sector in the district while as Joint Director Trainings Mehboob Hussain and Joint Director North Bashir Ahmad Wani briefed about their concerned matters.
