Jammu: Batote police arrested a trader from Batote after he was accused of ‘rape’, police said.

According to sources a family (name withheld) of Barthal Batote in Ramban district lodged a written compliant  that their daughter, minor in age, ‘has been repeatedly raped by  the trader identified as Parveen Kumar Sharma  (47 ) son of  Prithvi Nath R/O Barthal Batote’.

Batote Police arrested the accused and registered a case  FIR 32/2018 under section 376 RPC  against him.

“The girl has been sent to Government Medical College Jammu for medical examination,” Police said.
