J&K Police seeks reservation and concession for their kids in Private schools

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police is mulling to get ‘reservation and concession in fees’ for  their wards in private schools. In return police will offer its services to train students for ‘important functions’.

“Police Headquarters J&K, Jammu has constituted a committee with the aim to approach reputed schools for providing reservation in the classes,” reads the official document.

Office of the deputy superintendent of police HQRS, Anantnag has issued a letter to schools in South Kashmir inviting them to discuss the ‘matter’ on Tuesday i.e March 27.

‘Providing of reservation and concession of fee to the wards of police persons in private schools,” reads the subject of letter.

The invitation to attend the meeting reads that adding to reservation the police is also looking into ‘concession in fee’ for children of police personnel.

Adding to ‘reservation in the classes’ official invitation states that aim of the constituted committee is to get ‘concession in fee to the wards of police personnel..’.

According to the letter the police in return of the reservation in classes and concession in fees will help schools in preparing students for various ‘important’ functions.

“..in lieu of which Police shall offer to provide necessary practice/training to the children in such schools on important National/School functions being celebrated during the year,” reads the invitation to south Kashmir schools.

The meeting between police and the schools to discuss the ‘matter’ will be held on Tuesday i.e March 27.

“In order to discuss the matter with the management/principals of these schools, a meeting has been scheduled at DIG Office Anantnag,” reads the letter.

President Private School Association GN Var confirmed to INS that the schools in south Kashmir have been invited by police to attend the meeting.

“We have called a meeting to discuss the same,” Var said.
