Tral : Protests erupted in Mandoora area of south Kashmir’s Tral sub district on Saturday against Army who are accused of Thrashing Auqaf president  and vandalizing public property. Additional Deputy commissioner has reached the spot to take stock of situation.

Locals alleged thatgovernment forces  thrashed “Sadri Awkaf” Riyaz Ahmad, and vandalized pulsar motorcycle and Maruti 800.

According to locals Army was infuriated over a graffiti of former Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan wani on a local shop.

“They asked some people to erase that, which was resisted.  They began beatingsadri awkaf and  vandalised property,” locals alleged.

The protesters are demanding the removal of army camp from the area, locals told INS.

Meanwhile, police team and ADC Tral has reached the spot to take  stock of the situation.
