Plantation drive kick started at Sopore Court

Sopore:  To enhance the green cover in Sopore, a plantation drive was kick-started here in the Court  Complex of Sopore on Monday, officials said.

Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sopore, Ruhi Masrat said that the drive has been launched with the purpose to revive the plantation in the district.

“I urge various authorities to plant trees at appropriate places besides highlighting its positive impact on our environment,” Masrat said.

Drive was kick-started by Kamraaj Forest Division Kupwara in collaboration with, SSP Sopore Harmeet Singh, ARTO Baramulla Jamsheed Chowdary, Mobile Magistrate Sopore Jehangir Bakshi, CPO Sopore Abdul Majeed and various other functionaries of civil department were present on the occasion.
