Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Estates Department has launched eviction of illegal occupants of almost 100 official accommodations. The illegal occupants include former ministers and the Members Parliament as well.

“The process of eviction was initiated after Court’s direction,” Tasaduq Jeelani, Director Estates told INS.

According to Jeelani ‘it will be done in a phased manner’.

He also said that there were applicants who were to be provided official accomodations including media persons however illegal occupants were hurdle in it.

“Since court’s direction has come. It will be done now,” Jeelani said.
