Jammu: Chief Justice Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Justice Baddar Durrez Ahmed on Wednesday inaugurated a new state of art computer section cum server room at High Court Complex Jammu being constructed by R&B department at an approximate cost of Rs 60 lakh.

The server room houses blade severs of latest configuration and NAS for data storage. The server room is connected to 10G speed LAN which has been installed in the High Court.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Justice stressed upon concerned to upgrade the facility to improve the working and also to ensure real time back up of files from Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa.

High Court of J&K is the second-High Court in the country to have 10G speed LAN facility. The computer section cum server room will have cabins for CPC e- Courts, NIC Coordinator and other technical staff of the e-Courts.

Justice Mohammad Yaqqob Mir, Justice Alok Aradhe, Justice Tashi Rabstan, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal, Justice Sanjeev Kumar along with Judges of the High Court, Registrar General, President Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association Jammu B S Salathia and other officer bearers of the Bar were also present on the occasion.

Earlier, Justice Tashi Rabstan heard seven writ petitions pertaining to Ladakh Division through video conferencing out of which four were disposed of by him and rest of the cases were postponed for the hearing on next dates. Appropriate arrangements were made for the smooth conduct of video conferencing so that no disturbance of any kind could halt the proceedings of the cases.
