Leopard captured in Doda

Doda: A leopard which had strayed in the Nallawah locality in Gath area of the Doda district, was captured by team of the wildlife and forest department on Monday.

“We had received complaints from the local residents about the presence of a leopard. The animal was on prowl in Gath area since the last some months and had attacked cattle,” said CF Chenab circle T B Singh.

The captured animal would be transported to Kishtwar and will be sent to Manda Zoo in Jammu,  Singh added.
