Srinagar: A police who was injured when suspected militants attacked him at sentry post at famous Char-e-Sharief in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday afternoon.
A video has surfaced in which the cop is seen telling locals that he was fired up by two youth and decamped with his service rifle. The cop was taken in injured condition to hospital and later he was shifted to army hospital where he succumbed to injuries. The cop has been identified as Kultair Singh.
SSP Budgam Tejinder Singh confirmed said that investigation have been taken up after registering a case under relevant sections of law.
Meanwhile, government forces also cordoned off the entire area to nab the attackers.
