Srinagar: Police man was injured on Saturday after his service rifle went off accidentally in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

The incident happened at Police station Zainapora Shopian and the policeman, an Special Police Office (SPO), was hit in his right leg.

The injured cop has been identified as Mohammad Amir, and has been shifted to Srinagar for treatment.

Amir is resident of Bapora shopian.
