Srinagar: Government forces on Wednesday launched a cordon and search operation at Mochow area of Nowgam in outskirts of Srinagar city.

“It’s a joint operation of Special Operation Group of Jammu and Kashmir police  and Central Reserve Police Force,” sources were quoted by a local news gathering agency.

The operation was launched in the area after intelligence inputs about the movement of some militants in the area. Minor clashes in the area too is being reported.
