Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Club Vice President and YNC  Jammu Provincial Joint Secretary Aman Cheema, while addressing a presser said that they extend full support to students against ‘unnecessary harassment by the Director in Jammu University and demanded shifting of the Director from the department.’

“If the demands of the students are not fulfilled, then YNC along with University students will marched towards Vice Chancellor’s office,” Cheema said.

Alleging that the student of Sports and Physical Education are being harassed un-necessarily by Director Avtar Singh Jasrotia and going beyond his ‘status’.

Cheema quoted students of saying that examinations were not being conducted as per direction by the varsity calendar.

“Director was not accepting medical certificate, issued by the Medical Officer and had been marking students as absent. Now they are not eligible in appearing in final examinations which was totally against the rules and statues of the university,” Cheema accused.

He added that students also stated that nobody is allowed to participate in the national tournaments during the BPEd and MPEd courses.
