Restrictions in Srinagar parts to prevent protests

Srinagar: Authorities have imposed restrictions in parts of downtown area of Srinagar on Saturday to maintain law and order situation in the wake of the shutdown call given by the joint resistance leadership (JRL).
The JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Yasin Malik have called for protest shutdown against the shifting of local prisoners to outside state jails, murder of a Hurriyat activist by unidentified gunmen and “deteriorating” human rights situation in Kashmir Valley.
All the shops and other businesses establishments are closed and public transport is off the roads in Srinagar’s old city and other district headquarters of valley.
Train services have also been suspended between Banihal and Baramulla in valley for a day.
