Kupwara: Awami Itihad Party (AIP) president and MLA Langate Er Rasheed, has come down heavily upon the PDD Handwara for allegedly collecting money from locals to repair the electricity transformer.
Local sources said the Power Development Department (PDD) Handwara had collected some amount of money from Qalamabad residents for repairing the damaged electricity transformer.
Sources said when the news reached Er Rashid, he asked the AEE of the department to pay the amount back to people and get the transformer back on time.
“Go door to door and give them (people) the amount back,” Er Rasheed reportedly told the AEE.
