4 injured as militants storm army camp in heart of Jammu, schools closed

Srinagar: Four persons including a junior commissioned officer of army were injured after militants stormed an army camp in the Sunjuwan area in heart of the Jammu district early on Saturday morning.
Official sources said that the fidayeen entered the camp and took shelter in one of the many buildings inside the camp on Jammu-Panthankote highway which is spread on many acres of land.
The JCO Madan Lal Choudhary and his daughter besides a Havaldar and a civilian were injured as militants opened fire and hurled grenades soon after storming inside the camp at around 5 am.
Sources said that this is for the second time in fifteen years that the camp has been attacked by the militants. Meanwhile, district administration has ordered closure of all the schools within 500 meters from the camp
