No reports of any loss due to earthquake: Minister

Jammu: There were no reports of any loss due to earthquake in the Jammu and Kashmir, Minister for Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Javaid Mustafa Mir said on Wednesday.
According to an official spokesman the minister held a teleconference with Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmed Khan, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Hemant Kumar and Director Disaster Management Aamir Ali to take a stock of the situation immediately after the tremors were felt in state after 6.1 magnitude earthquake occurred with epicenter at Afghanistan Tajikistan Border.
The Minister was informed that there were no reports of any loss in the State.
He gave directions to the Director Disaster Management to circulate Do’s and Don’ts about precautions to be taken by the general public during, before and after an earthquake.
