Govt announces holiday tomorrow in memory of Dr. Sonam Dawa Lonpo

Srinagar: As a mark of respect to Dr. Sonam Dawa Lonpo, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Leh, who passed away yesterday, the State Government on Tuesday announced State holiday in his memory on Wednesday.
The government also ordered that the State Mourning shall be observed for 3 days w.e.f
January 30 to February 1.
“The National and State Flags shall fly at half-mast during the State Mourning on all buildings and places where these are flown regularly; there shall be no official entertainment/function during the State Mourning,” a government order said.
