Srinagar: The state government on Tuesday appointed Dr Haseeb Drabu, finance minister, as head of a Management Committee for Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura.
5-member Management Committee has been tasked to monitor the functioning of the institute and recommend measures, as would be required from time to time to improve its overall functioning; and concretize steps for appointment of Director, SKIMS on a regular basis.
The members of the committee include Dr Pawan Kumar Kotwal, Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education Department, Dr Samia Rashid principal GMC, Dr Omar Javed Shah, Director SKIMS and Ex-officio secretary to government and Dr Ghulam Nabi Yattoo, professor and head of department Gastroenterology.
