Srinagar: Government on Tuesday ruled out regulation of lecturers engaged on academic arrangement basis in the school education department.
In a written reply to a question by BJP Legislator Jewan Lal in legislative assembly, minister for education Syed Altaf Bukhari said 1947 lecturers have been engaged on academic arrangement.
“As of now, there is no policy for regularisation of candidates engaged on academic arrangement basis. The tenure of engagement of these candidates is co-terminus with the academic session,” he said.
Meanwhile, there are 1925 and 607 Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) panels pending in respect of Jammu and Kashmir division respectively.
In response to another question, Bukhari said that 1309 candidates in Kashmir were engaged for the session-2017 and 638 in Jammu division for the current academic session with monthly remuneration of Rs. 7,000.
