North Kashmir: CASO in Sopore ended peacefully

Sopore: The cordon and search operation (CASO) launched by government forces in Janwara village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday morning ended peacefully.
22 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army and Special Operation Group Sopore had launched a search operation after receiving the information about the presence of militants in the area.
The CASO continued for hours while no contact with militants was established.
Meanwhile, an official told INS that search operation concluded peacefully as no militant was found in the area.
No one was arrested during cordon, he said.
