Govt failed to provide shelter to border residents: Sagar

Jammu: Senior National Conference (NC) leader and MLA Khanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar on Monday said the government has “completely failed” to provide proper shelter and other essential commodities to the people living near border.
Raising the issue in the assembly, Sagar said the people living near border areas are victims of the frequent collateral damage due to cross border firing.
After getting “unsatisfactory” response, the NC MLA walked out of the house. Other Congress MLAs also staged walk out.
Meanwhile, the independent MLA from Langate Er Rasheed raised concern over the alleged ransacking of houses and damaging of vehicles in his constituency by forces on Sunday.
He also demanded relief to those whose properties were damaged.
