Srinagar: Authorities on Thursday said that they have rescued one of the two Sweden skiers who were swept away by avalanche at world famous skiing resort of Gulmarg. As reported earlier, the other Sweden tourist died in the calamity.

Meanwhile former chief minister Omar Abdullah questioned how the two skiers were allowed to ski despite an avalanche warning issued 24-hours ago.
“Very unfortunate. How were these skiers allowed to ski off ‘piste’ considering that avalanche warnings had been issued 24 hours ago?” Omr wrote on twitter.
