8-year-old rescued in Kupwara avalanche

Kupwara: An eight-year-old boy, who was among six persons swept away by a snow avalanche, has been rescued and shifted to Kupwara.
As reported earlier, sumo (JKO9A -3249) travelling from Kupwara towards Tangdhar was hit by an avalanche near Sadna top.
Sulieman (8 ) has een rescued and shifted to DH Kupwara.
Reports said while sumo driver (Zahoor Ahmad Khan son of Maqsood Ahmad Khan of Tangdhar) managed to escape from the vehicle at Sadma top, vehicle along with six passengers were swept away.
In another avalanche, as reported earlier, two Beacon officials were swept away by the avalanche. While one of them survived and was injured, another, a beacon officer (sector commander) been identified as MP Singh is missing.
